Segway: Making for light feet; The way forward

Since the Segway came out a few years ago, when it was available only through Amazon, it has caught and maintained my interest. A wonderful, functional, well designed piece of technology. At this time, its popularity or rather the growth of, is restricted by the price. Even the rental rates are pretty much unviable. Hence, for now , it will stay in the Wish List!

Adidas Tuscany

My Adidas Tuscany:
This is a piece of equipment where industry specific technology comes together with one of the most used piece of 'clothing' and a 'second-skin' shoe is created.
I was actually looking for the [Puma Mostro] but just wasn't comfortable enough with the 'elastic' lace. Likely to get floppy with time. Checked out Adidas and this pair hit me. [Adidas Tuscany]. Had to have them. In fact I was in UK at the time. The Wonderful Worldwide Web (www!) made it possible for me to order these shoes online, have them delivered to a friend who was then travelling to India and meet up with me India when I travelled there.
This shoe looks good. Fits like a second skin. Functionally correct. It's construction is centered around [Formula 1 racing], bearing in mind the position of the feet when actually driving, feet on the pedals, so to speak.
The sole extends onto the side of the shoe in two specific places. Firstly, just around the little toe on the outside of each shoe. This is the part the foot usually rests when not on the pedals, and also the part of the foot which actually comes in contact when zipping from the accelerator to the brake, back to the accelerator. Secondly, at the back of the shoe, over the back part of the heel. This area, around the end of the sole and the adjoining upper part of the shoe,  which really gets scuffed and chipped away.
Added touch is the embossed 'Goodyear' name on the side and the logo on the back. Altogether a nice shoe. My second-skin.

Namiki Vanishing Point

Namiki Vanishing Point Retractable Fountain Pen:
I have already written about this titled [Writing with and Writing on], so will refrain from repeating the extent of my preference for this pen. I would add here, that I would have loved the 'retro' yellow, but being a 'Limited Edition' in the USA, it is already out of stock.

         

Wish List

Advancing onwards and forwards into the world of Blogs, I have come across numerous items that either, agree with my existing preference, choice and possession, or create an interest leading to wishing it. The idea of this Wish List was thus, born. With or without pictures, this list will show the things I have and those which I would like, which have  and which could become part of what and who I am, if anything can become such. Enough ramble.

Cross Ion Pens

Cross Ion Gel Pens:
I was pretty sceptical about this 'fat' 'childish' space pens when they came out. But some time ago, I tried a pen with similar 'wide' girth and it was indeed surprisingly comfortable and easy to use. Deceptively so. Having looked through some such pens, I came across a Cross (!), and it gets added to the Wish List. [The Cross Ion Pen]. The Red-boxed one would be my preference. Elegant grey/black. Subtle, yet striking.
